Specialist in Income Generating Activities in Support Measures is part of the Team of the Technical Project Management Unit. Under the technical supervision of the Program's Resilience and Adaptive Social Protection Specialist, he / she will ensure the preparation, planning and implementation phase of IGA operations. To this end, he / she will contribute to the proper functioning of all the partnership dynamics and the necessary contacts with the various technical services and other partners responsible for the implementation of IGA operations. Under the technical supervision of the Specialist in Resilience and Adaptive Social Protection, and in relation with the other Specialists of the Program, he / she will notably ensure the following tasks: Participate in the design of a sub-manual for managing operations of IGA income-generating activities as part of the Support Measures; Participate in the preparation and conduct of capacity building processes for beneficiaries and partners around defined IGAs; Participate in the selection and approval processes for priority IGAs in accordance with established standards and procedures; Participate in the identification of priority areas for operations of income-generating activities funded by DFID; Supervise the accompaniment of NGOs to communities in the preparation, formulation, implementation and monitoring of IGA initiatives; Participate in the preparation of action plans for the IGA component; Participate in the budget preparation of the Income Generating Activities component of the project and in monitoring its execution; Participate in the recruitment and contractualization processes of implementing actors, thus monitoring the execution of service contracts; Participate in national dynamics and synergies of exchanges on IGAs and similar approaches (Microfinance, Saving for Change-EPC, Resilience-ACTION…) in order to better make the links between national policies and needs and concerns of communities in terms of IGA and resilience Facilitate the preparation and organization of the activities of the National Technical Committee of the program; Initiate close monitoring of activities, in particular through supervision and monitoring missions of partners involved in implementation on the ground; Prepare and make available to UTGFS managers all the necessary information relating to the implementation of IGAs. Production of reports Ensure the production and validation of provider reports in accordance with the clauses of service contracts; Produce periodic progress reports on the establishment of the IGA sub-component of the DFID project.
